Types of Spaces

There are six types of spaces you can create in the community:

• Posts: Create posts, discussions, and share resources.
• Events: Host events and manage RSVPs.
• Images: Share and discuss images.
• Chat: Real-time chat between members.
• Courses: Host online courses.
• Members: Feature members in a directory.

Replying to Chats

On Desktop: If you would like to reply to someone’s chat message, hover over the right-hand side of the message until you see 3 icons and the three dots. Click the speech bubble icon to “reply in a thread”.

On Your Phone: Use your finger to press and hold the message you want to reply to and a menu appears with a choice to “reply in thread”.

Threads help keep information organized into tidy message threads. Please don’t reply in the main channel, as this gets very noisy for everyone.

Starting a New Chat

If you would like to start a new chat about another topic, then simply click in the box where you see “Type a message” as illustrated below.
